Nollywood actor in urgent need of Kidney transplant

In a distressing revelation, it has come to light that Nollywood stalwart Amaechi Muonagor is battling severe health challenges, prompting an urgent call for assistance and prayers from well-wishers and fans alike.

According to reports, Amaechi Muonagor, known for his prolific contributions to Nigeria’s film industry, is in dire need of a kidney transplant in India.

Last year, Emeka Rollas, the national president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), disclosed the grim state of Muonagor’s health, stating that the veteran actor is now completely paralyzed and requires immediate intervention. In a recent interview with Vanguard, Rollas provided updates on Muonagor’s condition, emphasizing the urgent need for support.

Rollas, who visited Muonagor at the Intensive Care Unit of Nnamdi Azikwe University Teaching Hospital in Nnewi along with fellow colleagues, painted a somber picture of the actor’s plight. He described Muonagor as a mere shadow of his former self, with his legs rendered immobile due to paralysis.

Expressing deep concern, Rollas appealed to fans, well-wishers, and philanthropic individuals to rally behind Muonagor during this critical period. He underscored the emotional impact of witnessing Muonagor’s deteriorating health, urging collective action to alleviate his suffering.

Taking tangible steps towards assistance, Rollas revealed on Instagram that the AGN has authorized a transfer of N250,000 from its Trust Fund to Muonagor’s account. However, he acknowledged that this amount might fall short considering Muonagor’s medical history and expenses covered by the Guild’s HMO and Insurance policy.
