"Why I left acting for music..." – Tiwa Savage reveals

Popular Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage has disclosed how she was inspired to become the singer she is today.

During a recent interview with MTV, the music star revealed that it was her dream to become an actress but she delved into music because of a man she had a crush on.

According to her, this supposed crush was always around musicians so she ditched her “first love,” acting for music.

Savage said, “I have always wanted to do acting. Acting was one of my first loves before music. I got into music because I had a crush on a guy and he was always around the musician so I said ‘yeah, forget acting and just go into music.”

TopNaija recalls that Tiwa Savage recently announced that her debut movie, ‘Water And Garri’ will be released on May 10, 2024, and streamed on global streaming giant, Prime Video.
