Real reason Jadon Sancho is being punished by Man United
Jadon Sancho faces an unusual position at Manchester United following his social media statement condemning Man United boss, Erik ten Hag, one which the club is not ready to let go.
According to reports, the Old Trafford hierarchy are deliberating disciplinary actions on Sancho as he remains sidelined from the first-team squad following a refusal to apologize to manager Erik ten Hag.
A statement released by Man United reads,
“Jadon Sancho will remain on a personal training program away from the first-team group, pending resolution of a squad discipline issue.”
The club’s decision to keep Sancho away from first-team activities has cast uncertainty over his immediate future at Old Trafford.
The dispute between Sancho and ten Hag emerged after the talented winger’s social media outburst, which he has since deleted.
After Manchester United’s disappointing 3-1 defeat to Arsenal, ten Hag publicly addressed the issue, stating,
“On his performance in training, we didn’t select him. You have to reach the level every day at Manchester United. You can make choices in the front line, so in this game, he wasn’t selected.”
According to reports from The Athletic, Jadon Sancho has effectively been excluded from first-team training sessions and will not be considered for selection until further notice.
Instead, he will be undertaking his training regimen at the club’s academy facilities.
This development means that Jadon Sancho will not be available for Manchester United’s upcoming match against Brighton at Old Trafford on Saturday unless there is a resolution to the ongoing disciplinary issue.
