"There is a chance" -- Nwankwo Kanu tells Super Eagles

In the wake of Nigeria‘s 1-0 triumph over Ivory Coast in a Group A clash on Thursday, former Super Eagles captain Kanu Nwankwo has hailed the national team, labeling them as the most-feared on the African continent.

The victory came courtesy of Captain William Troost-Ekong’s penalty at the Stade Olympique Ouattara, securing a crucial three points for Nigeria.

With this result, the Super Eagles currently hold the second position in Group A, amassing four points from two games. Ivory Coast, on the other hand, occupies the third spot with three points from two matches.

Taking to his Twitter account, Kanu expressed his excitement and confidence in the Super Eagles’ prowess.

In a tweet via his X account, he wrote:

“KAN U BELIEVE IT ๐Ÿ’ช congratulations congratulations you what it is ๐Ÿ‘ every country is afraid of our dear super eagles so letโ€™s believe we can do it.”

He went on to commend the team and the coaching staff for their commendable performance, extending gratitude to all supporters and well-wishers. Kanu’s tweet reflects a sense of pride and optimism for the Super Eagles as they continue their campaign in the ongoing AFCON 2023 tournament.

“WELL DONE BOYS AND WELL DONE THE COACHING CREW and thanks ๐Ÿ™ to all that supported and pray for us @ng_supereagles #africa,” Kanu concluded in his tweet.
