"I have 7 offers" -- Jose Peseiro brags as Nigeria stalls

Out of contract Super Eagles boss, Jose Peseiro indulges Nigeria in the long game, but has risen to warn his potential suitors including the Nigerian Football Federation, that time is ticking on where his loyalties will next lie.

According to the Portuguese manager, there are about 7-contract offers on the table, with the final say resting on what he would determine as the best move.

Jose Peseiro, whose contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) expires at the end of February, has garnered significant attention after leading the Super Eagles to a commendable second-place finish at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The 63-year-old Portuguese tactician, highly sought after by various national teams and clubs, stated that he intends to carefully consider his options before making a commitment to his next endeavor.

“I told everyone to come back at the end of the month. What is certain is that I want to continue coaching and I need to choose wisely,” Peseiro shared with Goal.

“At this moment, I repeat, all options remain possible. I received a lot of options and a lot of contacts from national teams or clubs. I would say 5, 6 or 7,” he added, though refraining from disclosing specific details.

Jose Peseiro emphasized the importance of taking a break and approaching his decision with a calm mindset.

“But I listen to the proposals and projects that are offered to me. And I evaluate whether I like it or not,” he explained.
