Paul Pogba not going down without a 'Fight'

Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba is not going down without a fight despite his 4-year ban for anti-doping.

Paul Pogba is set to contest his four-year ban imposed after failing a drug test, with reports indicating he will take his case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

The ban, stemming from a failed drug test last September, was issued following the discovery of DHEA in Pogba’s system, a substance known to enhance athletic endurance by increasing testosterone levels.

The initial suspension was imposed in September 2023, with confirmation of the positive test coming in October of the same year after the B sample returned consistent results.

According to Italian outlet La Repubblica, Pogba’s ban stands as a consequence of doping violations, though the player is determined to challenge the ruling. The Times has further reported his intention to appeal to CAS.

The appeal process opens up various potential outcomes, including the possibility of upholding, reducing, or entirely overturning the ban. Pogba’s appeal marks the latest development in a case that has drawn significant attention within the sports community.
