Juventus ready to terminate Paul Pogba Contract

The worse is reportedly set to fall on Juventus midfielder, Paul Pogba in his anti-doping charge if found guilty and suspended by Italian football authorities.

According to ESPN reports, the Serie A giants are ready to cut their losses short if the guilty verdict is given on Pogba’s case.

Their report also reveals that Juventus have stopped paying Paul Pogba his €8 million-per-year salary following the news of his drug test failure.

The Old Ladies have also made the former Manchester United midfielder aware that, if he is suspended, there is a possibility of terminating his contract, which runs until June 2026.

Paul Pogba’s defense currently hinges on the statement that he admitted to taking nutritional supplements without knowing they contained testosterone which he tested positive for.

The Frenchman’s defense rests on his ignorance of not knowing what the supplement’s contents possessed prior to taking them.

Paul Pogba currently risks a provisional four-year ban depending on the outcome of the counter analysis.

Aside a provisional ban, the Frenchman could face criminal charges, with drug doping considered a criminal offence in Italy.

At the moment, Pogba and his representatives are waiting for the result of his backup B sample, which is expected before the end of the week.

Pending a trial and testing of a backup B sample, the former Manchester United player faces a suspension of up to four years at the corner, which could be retirement from football calling on him.
