We can survive without Mbappe -- Carlo Ancelotti

Real Madrid is the dream destination of Kylian Mbappe, that everyone including PSG knows, however, is Mbappe the star on the Los Blancos’ mind?

The summer transfer has created a lot of drama so far, and like it was some seasons prior, it is all about Mbappe, Real Madrid and PSG in a tight love triangle.

When it comes to speaking on the subject, Carlo Ancelotti however chooses to act coy on the matter, specifically when pushed for a quote on whether the France international is likely to link up with the La Liga side soon.

According to the Italian, the squad is complete even without the Frenchman donning the white jersey.

Ancelotti said this following their 2-0 friendly triumph over Manchester United in Houston in their pre-season tour of the USA.

Jude Bellingham was one of the stars to open the scoring sheet after his €103million this summer as Real Madrid’s first summer signing.

The squad’s second signing, Joselu also added a second with a spectacular overhead kick to ruin things for their opponent.

Despite the exit of Karim Benzema to the Saudi Pro League and ongoing links with Mbappé, Carlo Ancelotti feels his squad is good enough even without any Frenchman striker leading the charge.

“The squad is fine. We won’t have problems with the squad. A problem would be having a squad without quality … The squad is great. It’s complete,” Ancelotti told reporters.

When asked specifically about Mbappé, the Italian chose to stay political with his response, telling the reporters instead to ask the “Next question.”

Carlo Ancelotti by now is well known to be quite political in his response to Journalists.
He has consistently denied any links to the Brazil national team job in frequent press interviews, with report confirming prior to pre-season that the Italian already has an agreement to coach the Brazil national team ahead of the Copa America.
