Real Madrid versus Manchester City is starting to look like a recurring Champions League fixture as both teams meet again for what would be the 4th time in recent years.

With both sides succeeding in getting one over the other in subsequent meetings, they are set to face off once more in the Champions League quarter-final as they aim they further progress in the competition.

This will make it the 5th time Pep Guardiola will be facing off against Carlo Ancelotti in the European tournament since the Italian became Madrid’s manager.

Having one eye on the premier league title again, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City will be fancying a positive outcome again as they travel to Santiago Bernabeu to face Real Madrid.

Come out on top at the Spanish capital, thy have the work cut out for them in the return fixture at the Etihad a week later. But beating Real Madrid is no easy feat no matter how simple it may sound on paper.

The Spanish side are the grand-daddy of the European tournament and getting one over them in last season’s edition does not mean the lightning will strike twice on the same ground.
