Marcus Rashford makes his feelings clear to Man United

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has set its sights on Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford as their primary target to fill the void left by Kylian Mbappe, according to reports.

The departure of Mbappe, who announced his decision to leave PSG on a free transfer, has prompted the Ligue 1 champions to seek a suitable replacement during the upcoming summer transfer window. Real Madrid is widely expected to secure Mbappe’s signature after a prolonged pursuit.

With Mbappe’s departure freeing up significant financial resources, PSG aims to leverage this opportunity to recruit a top-tier replacement.

Rashford, who had previously attracted interest from PSG in 2022 before committing to a long-term deal with Manchester United, has emerged as their leading target.

Despite Rashford’s struggles this season, with just seven goals in 34 appearances and a disciplinary issue off the field, PSG remains undeterred in their pursuit. The Daily Mirror reports that PSG is prepared to offer £75 million to secure Rashford’s services.

Rashford, however, has reiterated his commitment to Manchester United and his determination to contribute to the club’s resurgence. In an interview with The Players Tribune, he emphasized his deep-rooted connection to the club, having grown up there and played since childhood.

Rashford’s loyalty to his boyhood club is evident, but PSG remains confident in their ability to persuade him to join their ranks as Mbappe’s replacement.

In the event that Rashford opts to stay in the Premier League, PSG has identified Napoli striker Victor Osimhen as a potential alternative.
