Liverpool about to be done dirty by Real Madrid

Real Madrid aren’t done with Liverpool just yet.

It just had to be Real Madrid coming in to rain on the Liverpool parade, doesn’t it? That’s if the Trent Alexander-Arnold reports are to be believed.

According to reports coming from Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano, the La Liga giants are closely monitoring the situation between Alexander-Arnold this summer and could be ready to tempt the Scouser away from his boyhood club if Liverpool do not react.

The Right-back currently has his contract expiring soon, and with the exit of Jurgen Klopp from the club at the end of the season, Liverpool seem vulnerable to losing a lot of talents in the squad.

On the Alexander-Arnold front, there is currently no indication from the England international that he wants to depart Merseyside but football over recent times have proven unpredictable.

The Reds could face the temptation to sell the defender depending on the circumstances or loyalties might change on Trent Alexander Arnold’s part to make the idea for a move to the Los Blancos even enticing.

Taking to his social media page, Fabrizio Romano wrote;

“Real Madrid are monitoring Trent Alexander-Arnold’s contract situation at Liverpool.

“Current deal expires in June ’25 with no talks underway as of now. Liverpool have not indicated any desire to sell at this stage.

“There’s no indication of player’s views so far.”

On Liverpool’s end, there is the believe that one of the moves newly appointed Sporting Director, Richard Hughes will make will be awarding new contracts to key players like Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah who are currently running out of contract.
