Ousmane Dembele leaves Barcelona

Former Barcelona winger, Ousmane Dembele has officially exited Barcelona in a move to French Ligue 1 club, Paris Saint-Germain as confirmed by the clubs today.

This is reported to be a move that was fostered by a €50.4m fee for Ousmane Dembélé as confirmed by Barcelona.

It is revealed to be in a private contract clause included in the France international’s contract last summer when he renewed contracts to stay with the Catalans.

The clause which was activated 12 days ago by Paris Saint-Germain provided a window to land Dembele following the expiration of the release clause included separately in his contract.

This will see Ousmane Dembele receive a part of whatever sum PSG pays to Barcelona following the conclusion of the transfer.

In reaction to the move, the France forward said;

The current contract will run from the current season until June 2028, with the Frenchman taking on the number 23 shirt number.
