Recall that Deborah Samuel, a 200 level student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, was murdered over alleged blasphemous statement.

The General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry, Chibuzor Chinyere, has fulfilled the promises he made to the family and has donated a mini estate and a car to Garba Emmanuel, the father of the murdered girl.

The cleric also relocated the family to Port Harcourt and promised Deborah’s seven siblings “automatic scholarships”.

He wrote, “In fulfilment of my earlier promise and in honour of the late Deborah Samuel, I on behalf of the Omega Power Ministry relocated and donated a 14-flats-mini estate and a Corolla car, for Uber business, to her family in Port Harcourt.

“The estate was registered in their name immediately.

“May God take all glory and honour. Amen!”

Deborah’s mother, Aileri Emmanuel, had said that she would never send her remaining seven children to school because of the barbaric murder of her daughter.

Emmanuel amid tears said, “I have no demands; I don’t want anything but one thing I know is that my children will never go to school again.”

The deceased’s father, who was a security guard with the Niger State Water and Sanitation, also lamented that he used his whole savings to send his eldest child (Deborah) to school.
