"We didn't have the Capacity" -- Mikel Arteta breaks silence

Arsenal fans have had their hopes squashed ahead of the next phase of the season as manager, Mikel Arteta has broken the horns to confirm there will be no new faces at the Emirates this winter window.

The Arsenal boss has categorically ruled out the possibility of signing new players for the club during the January transfer window.

Arteta cited the unfeasibility of executing any deals this month, emphasizing the team’s lack of capacity to enhance its roster in the desired manner.

“We didn’t have the capacity to improve the team in the way that we think we want to improve it. So, we decided not to do something yet in this transfer window,” Arteta asserted during an interview with TNT.

Acknowledging the squad’s thin depth compared to other teams in the league, Arteta addressed the scarcity of players, particularly in certain positions, stating,

“We have one of the thinnest squads in the league, that’s for sure — as when you talk about the numbers, especially in certain areas, we are really thin.”

The Gunners fans who believe the club is only short a clinical finisher to contend for the title like its rivals, now face the looming reality of heading into the remainder of the season with just the current crop of forward line.
