This is just the start for Arsenal regardless of the title outcome

Arsenal is bidding to secure a remarkable Premier League triumph this season for the first time since 2003/04.

UCL status would of course make the Emirates an optimal destination for many world-class players seeking transfer moves this summer. But it would also provide a huge boost in revenue for Arsenal. Ideally, they could use their impressive campaign to attract stars that supplement the quality of the current squad. They could continue on their upward trajectory and begin to qualify for UCL football each year.

This could help create a cycle of top stars joining Arsenal year-on-year which is the main ingredient for sustained success. The club have struggled long-term to attract leading stars due to their absence from the European competition. They have at times resorted to signing declining players from rival clubs such as Chelsea. But now that is set to change – Arsenal will be at the front of the queue for some of the most in-demand stars across Europe.

Arsenal can come out of the other side of this season with a wealth of experience. Win or lose the title battle, they will be well-equipped to fight again. Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool found their level was propelled by City’s relentless in the league. City perhaps provided Liverpool with the motivation to win every competition over several years. Arsenal could experience a similar effect, there isn’t a stronger team to set the pace for success than Guardiola’s City.
