TopNaija’s Premier League Predictions For The Weekend

Premier League hostilities continue once more this weekend, with games running by fans as thick as they possibly could. There is the race for the top 4 and there is the race to avoid premier league relegation for teams below the table.

Of course, there stands the possibility that a certain West-London side could mathematically still get relegated should its fortunes not improve moving forward in the premier league.

The excitement begins at early kick-off with the premier league big guns avoiding the 12:30 pm dreaded time this weekend.

Here go our predictions for the weekend games;

Saturday 29th April

TopNaija’s Premier League Predictions For The Weekend

Crystal Palace12:30West Ham United, the Roy Hodgson effect could continue this weekend to gift Crystal Palace a result against a West Ham still longing for justice from VAR but it appears this time, the Hammers might steal something away from this game with a 1-2 win which they unfortunately were denied against Liverpool in mid-week.

Brentford15:00Nottingham Forest, take things further that afternoon with Forest still looking to grab something from the game to avoid relegation. Brentford on the other hand would be coming on the back of a 0-2 win in mid-week against Chelsea and would be looking to improve their position in the table with an eye on Europe.

However we predict a 2-2 draw for both sides with no winner in the game.

Brighton and Hove Albion15:00Wolverhampton Wanderers, Brighton are one X factor that seriously have a shout at the top 4 this season considering they still have games in hand and should they get results out from them, they could be among the teams in the Champions League next season.

We predict a 3-1 victory for Brighton against Wolverhampton this weekend.

Sunday 30th April

TopNaija’s Premier League Predictions For The Weekend

Bournemouth14:00Leeds United, could see the attacking prowess of both sides in full display as Leeds United try to improve their premier league standings to avoid the drop zone while Bournemouth are still wary of relegation despite sitting at 14th in the table.

Leeds United might steal this one with a 2-3 win, reverse of the score line Bournemouth gave Tottenham Hotspur some weeks back.

Fulham14:00Manchester City, Arsenal will be done some justice this weekend if by chance their London rivals, Fulham could get a surprise result against Manchester City on Saturday. The premier league will lighten up from such excitement, but we highly doubt that for Fulham.

Manchester City go in favorites to steal a meek 0-2 result at the state capital to go top of the table this weekend.

Manchester United14:00Aston Villa, Villa and Unai Emery have been full of surprises this season but whatever such surprise might be, it doesn’t go to Old Trafford. Manchester United will want to see out a 2-1 win against Aston Villa, based on our predictions.

Newcastle United14:00Southampton, Southampton are neck down in the relegation zone and would want to fight their way out starting from this weekend, but Newcastle have other plans in mind, hence will be thinking with one focus.

However, they would be on the short end of a 0-0 score line as Southampton would want to keep things stiff at the back.

Liverpool16:30Tottenham Hotspur, this would be considered the big game of the weekend, and a top 4 battle as Liverpool look to over take Spurs in the league standings. The fixture is at Anfield, however the Reds have struggled to build on to consistency this season.

This fixture might be a dragged out 2-2 result or the Reds could count on their luck to steal all 3 points from the game with a 3-2 score line.

Monday 1st May

TopNaija’s Premier League Predictions For The Weekend

Leicester City20:00Everton, both teams currently battle relegation spot, hence the question becomes, who claws its way out from the spot between the pair.

We favor a win for Leicester City in a 2-1 victory against Sean Dyche’s team  in the continuation of the premier league weekend games on Monday night.

Tuesday 2nd May

Arsenal20:00Chelsea, this game is probably the be-it-all for Arsenal in their chase for the premier league title, and should Chelsea ironically get a result from this game to mark a win for Frank Lampard, it will be the talk of the season.

Thus, we predict Arsenal to fall short as Chelsea nabs what will become a rare win for Frank Lampard on his Chelsea return in a 0-1 win at the Emirates.
