Italy legend and former player for the Italian national team, Giuseppe Galderisi sees a darker future for Napoli if their plan to move on from Victor Osimhen comes to fruition this summer.

According to the ex-Italy international, the Nigerian striker is a talent that cannot be replaced in Europe at the moment, with Giuseppe Galderisi making comparisons between former West Ham United player Gianluca Scamacca who has become a rumored name to replace Victor Osimhen.

Speaking with Calcio Napoli, Galderisi is quoted saying of the two;

“Scamacca is doing extraordinary things this year, but he is different from Osimhen. All you have to do is serve him and he scores goals.”

Giuseppe Galderisi goes on to insist that Napoli would be taking a big risk replacing the Super Eagles star like the reports say.

“But replacing Osimhen with Scamacca is a big risk. ‘Osimhen’ — he moves with ease, he always makes the right movement and when he starts again he becomes uncatchable. I would have rewarded his gesture on the occasion of the second goal in Udine, I would have given him the goal. You can’t find another Osimhen in Europe, then we need to understand what Napoli wants to do.”

Since signing his recent contract extension with the Serie A club, the future of Victor Osimhen has become a much talked about topic on the transfer front.

The Nigerian so far has been linked with a number of premier league clubs and Ligue 1 club, Paris Saint-Germain.
