“Slow down, all these material things don’t matter” – Yul Edochie speaks concerning case of late UniPort student

Popular Nigerian actor and politician, Yul Edochie has finally weighed in on the topic of a UniPort female student who was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend and used for money ritual.

Yul Edochie, who is an alumna of the institution, condemned that act.

TopNaija recalls that Damian Okoligwe, a 400-level Uniport student, was arrested after dissecting his lover, Justina Otuene Nkang.

Reacting to the event, the school’s alumna advised Nigerian youths to take it slow with their hunger to get rich quickly and possession of material things. He added that those flaunting wealth on social media can be partly blamed for this.

According to him, most supposed wealthy people on the internet are not actually as big as they are portrayed to be.

Yul, who is an alumna of the school insisted that grades should priority in school and not flashy lives and chase for material things.

“I saw a story about a young guy who killed his girlfriend and it really broke my heart. At that age, what you should be focused on is your grades and not this whole love for material things. Young people these days, slow down; all these material things don’t matter. Any car you see today driving you nuts, give it a few years, you won’t be able to look at it,” he said in part.
