Red Devils legend, Roy Keane hails Arsenal for beating Man United

They are almost there, Manchester United legend, Roy Keane says as he heaps praise on Arsenal’s performance versus Man United on Sunday evening.

In a thrilling 3-1 scoreline, the Red Devils came out of the fixture with tails behind their back as they crumbled to 2 goals from Declan Rice and Gabriel Jesus in the last minutes of the game.

According to Roy Keane, this puts Arsenal in the position they will want to be in when challenging for the title against Manchester City.

The Manchester United legend asserts that this performance makes the Gunners, City’s biggest challengers for the the season.

The victory takes the North London side to within 2 points of Manchester City as they claim 10 points from a possible 12 going into the international break.

Though, Roy Keane admits Arsenal are closer to City than they were last season, he however considers there is still a gap between the two.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Keane praised the Gunners by saying;

“Last year, Arsenal proved to be the best of the rest and I think they are probably the strongest group amongst the other teams at this moment in time.

“I still think the gap to Man City is there, but this is a big win for them. The momentum, spirit and quality it gives them. The feel-good factor is with Arsenal. If they had dropped points today, I think it would have been a huge step back for them.

“However, it’s chalk and cheese with the result against Fulham and they have a big spring in their step now,” Keane said.
