Everything went against Us -- Erik ten Hag on Arsenal defeat

Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag has given account on the defeat to Arsenal in the premier league clash on Sunday at the Emirates.

The Red Devils who started the game in a well worked system, had opened the scoring thanks to a pivotal Marcus Rashford strike in the 28th minute to put Manchester United up.

However, the Red Devils’ defensive shape collapsed under seconds to bring Arsenal back on level terms, thanks to an instinctive finish from Arsenal captain, Martin Odegaard.

The narratives did not end there as the Gunners came back in the second half, shortly before the final whistle and after Alejandro Garnacho’s goal was ruled for an offside, to send the Red Devils back home in defeat.

It was two quick fire goals from new summer signing, Declan Rice, and returning man, Gabriel Jesus to put the tie past Man United in the 101st minute.

Speaking after the game, Erik ten Hag praised how his team started the game.

However, the Dutchman claimed everything went against the Red Devils.

Erik ten Hag spoke of Alejandro Garnacho’s goal that was chalked off for offside. The former Ajax manager was quoted saying;

“I thought we played a very good game but everything went against us… It was not offside [for Garnacho].

“It was the wrong angle. “It was a penalty on Hojlund, then we concede a goal that’s a foul on Jonny Evans – clear and obvious…”
