Shocking reports emerged today, revealing that Paris Saint-Germain’s star goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and his girlfriend, Alessia Elefante, fell victim to a vicious robbery at their Paris apartment.

The terrifying incident occurred between Thursday, July 20, and Friday, July 21, leaving the footballer and his partner in distress and prompting a high-profile investigation by the authorities.

According to Actu17, a prominent French media outlet, the couple endured a horrifying ordeal as several assailants targeted their home. The perpetrators broke into their residence, violently tying them up, before making off with valuables amounting to £432,153, including precious jewellery and luxury items.

In the wake of the harrowing attack, Donnarumma and Elefante managed to escape to safety, seeking refuge at a nearby hotel.

Concerned hotel staff attended to their injuries and promptly notified the police, prompting law enforcement agencies to launch a comprehensive investigation to track down the perpetrators responsible for this brazen crime.

A spokesperson for the Paris prosecutor’s office confirmed the gravity of the situation, stating,

“An investigation has been opened on charges of armed robbery in an organized gang and aggravated violence following the events that took place overnight at Mr. Donnarumma’s place.”

Expressing their support and concern for the couple, Donnarumma’s agency issued a statement on social media, saying,

“Raiola is aware of an incident concerning Gianluigi Donnarumma and his partner in the early hours of this morning. They are in shock at what happened but doing well under the terrible circumstances.

Both are assisting the police with their inquiries. Gigi, his partner, and Raiola will be making no further comment until the police complete their investigation. We ask you to respect Gigi and his partner’s privacy at this time.”

Sadly, this is not the first instance of a Paris Saint-Germain player becoming a victim of burglary. In the past, both Marquinhos and Angel Di Maria, during his time at the club, were also subjected to similar robberies.

Gianluigi Donnarumma, who joined the Parisian club in the summer of 2021 from AC Milan on a free transfer, has established himself as a key player over the past two seasons, contributing significantly to PSG’s success in securing two league titles during his tenure at Parc des Princes.
