Kylian Mbappe to Everton is one of those moves that would not only create a shocker in football but also leave lots of Liverpool fans with ‘PTSD’ if the Frenchman after years of being linked with a move to the Reds, turns up to put on the Blue jersey.

However, Everton star, Idrissa Gana Gueye wants to stand the villain to conjure up such a move to leave the Red side of Merseyside in pain.

Paris Saint Germain’s star forward Kylian Mbappe has been at the center of attention in recent weeks as speculation about his future with the club continues to swirl.

It was confirmed last week that the Frenchman has made the decision to depart PSG at the conclusion of the 2023-2024 season.

While a move to Real Madrid in La Liga is widely anticipated, Mbappe has also been linked with Premier League clubs such as Liverpool and Arsenal.

Interestingly, it has been revealed by Mbappe’s former teammate at PSG, Idrissa Gana Gueye, that the young forward may secretly have some soft spot for the Merseyside Blues as he is revealed to avidly follow matches involving Everton.

Speaking to The Echo, Gueye reminisced about conversations with Mbappe and fellow teammate Julian Draxler during their time at PSG, where discussions about Everton’s performances would often arise.

Gueye shared how he would receive teasing remarks from Draxler about Everton’s results, to which he would respond with unwavering support for his team.

Gueye disclosed that Mbappe would regularly watch Everton games, demonstrating his interest in the Premier League club. Despite Gueye’s attempts to convince Mbappe to consider joining Everton, the French star remained focused on his career path.

“I remember Draxler every time we lose, he would go ‘you see your team, they are not good!’ and I would say, ‘We will survive’ so the day we survived against Crystal Palace he said ‘you were lucky’ and I said ‘I told you’.

“I told him to come to Everton but he hasn’t listened!”

“Mbappe, yeah he would watch. He liked to watch every game.”
