How to stop Lionel Messi, should be a full length book written by a retired football professional for those in the game who still feel threatened by the Argentina hero and that is what Giorgio Chiellini has done.

The Juventus legend rather than write a full length book on the Argentine legend has given MLS teams (Major League Soccer) on what to do to stop the Inter Miami captain who is currently on a goal rout in the league.

Giorgio Chiellini has maintained he is not surprised by Messi’s scoring rout in the start to American life at Inter Miami.

According to Chiellini, Messi is not your normal player and thus, MLS teams should not treat him as a normal player and need to do more to stop him.

The World Cup winner has so far scored 5 goals in 3 matches for Inter Miami so far, including a free kick on his debut to steal a win for the MLS side.

“I was not surprised [by Messi’s brilliant performances for Inter Miami]. The problem is that maybe this league is surprised,” Chiellini said (via AS USA).

“I think they [MLS teams] have to do something better to try to contain Messi.”

The Italian added, “If you think that Messi is a normal player, it is a huge mistake. It means you have not seen him for the last 15 years.

“If Sergio [Busquets] has the ball and you don’t mark Messi … maybe you don’t have a TV at home. I expect a little bit more pressure from the other teams.”
