The Nigerian Federal Government has dismissed allegations of cabals within the Presidential Villa working against the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in the upcoming 2023 election.

El-Rufai had accused unnamed individuals within Aso Rock of working against the Bola Tinubu, ahead of the upcoming election.

In a recent interview on Channels TV’s Sunrise Programme, El-Rufai stated that these individuals had a candidate in the presidential primary who did not win, and are now trying to hinder the ruling party and Tinubu’s chances in the election.

Dismissing the allegations, Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, stated that the administration is focused on ensuring a free and fair election for all candidates, regardless of party affiliations.

He emphasized that President Buhari is committed to a credible election, as evidenced by his repeated statements on the matter, and added that if there are any individuals working against a particular candidate, the government is not officially aware of it.

At Last, Atiku Opens Up On Health Condition

On Tuesday, the presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, addressed rumors about his health status prior to the 2023 presidential election.

He stressed that his trips abroad are only for routine medical check-ups and not for any serious medical treatments.

Recalling an incident from 2006 when he suffered a fall from a staircase, Atiku explained that he had suffered a tendon rupture but was quickly treated and fully recovered.

He assured the public that he was prepared to present any requested medical reports to the electoral authority.

In a recent interview with BBC Pidgin, Atiku stated that if elected as president, he would prioritize seeking medical attention within the country.

However, if necessary treatments are not available domestically, he would consider seeking medical help abroad if it is more cost-effective.
