Erik ten Hag wants Glazers’ favorite out

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is reportedly planning to sell Anthony Martial this summer, as part of a major squad overhaul.

The French forward, who arrived at Old Trafford from Monaco in 2015, has struggled to meet expectations and has failed to secure a regular starting spot under Ten Hag due to injuries.

According to UK Mirror, Martial is the favourite player of United co-owner Joel Glazer, who had intervened in the past to prevent former manager Jose Mourinho from selling the 27-year-old. However, with Ten Hag now in charge, it appears the Frenchman’s time at the club could be coming to an end.

Martial spent last season on loan at Spanish club Sevilla, but failed to make a significant impact. It is believed that Ten Hag wants to rebuild the squad and will be letting go of certain key players to make way for new signings.

The decision to sell Martial will no doubt come as a disappointment to Glazer, who has reportedly been fond of the player since his arrival at the club.
