Same problems, same Manchester United

Manchester United, is perhaps two words that leaves very many people with a sigh of exhaustion than of relief.

It is almost as if its one week, one problem at this stage for Erik ten Hag’s team who have gone 6-games after losing to Manchester City with only one win in the premier league, which if memory serves right was against Everton.

A rinse repeat scenario as since their 2-0 triumph against the Toffees at Old Trafford, Manchester United have managed to drop a total of 9-points, drawing roughly most of their games and losing to Chelsea despite being at a winning position.

The same story every weekend, with the draw to Brentford a straw that frustrated lots of the fanbase who picked issues first with United’s game plan in the fixture and then dropping vital points seconds after scoring what they believed should have been a winner.

A similar scenario albeit with a tweak played itself again today against AFC Bournemouth, with the Red Devils playing themselves into the cards of the Cherries.

Manchester United were not  only  outplayed by the home team but lucky to avoid certain defeat thanks to a late penalty given to Manchester United.

Just like the draw against Liverpool, bad fortunes followed a Bournemouth side who registered not less than 5 shots on goal but failed to maximize those efforts to claw out of the tie with a win and all 3-points. For the Cherries, the full time score line was by a stretch unfair to their performance in both halves.

Like Liverpool, they will return to their dressing room ruing missed chances and the handball decision that handed Bruno Fernandes a spot kick which he didn’t falter at converting for Manchester United.

Narratives can go on and on about the Red Devils and Erik ten Hag, but Manchester United continue to slip further away from Europe while they keep repeating same results and lackluster performances in games.
