Deborah Samuel buried today amidst tears

The remains of late Deborah Samuel, a student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto State, who was murdered on Thursday in Sokoto over alleged blasphemy, have been laid to rest today.

She was buried in her hometown,Tunga Magajiya, in Rijau local government area of Niger State admist tears.

This is even as the Sokoto State Government allegedly insisted that the body be kept in the mortuary until it concludes its arrangement on the matter.

However, the parents disagreed with the government’s position, while insisting that their daughter’s body would be buried today.

It was learnt that since the news of the incident reached the parents of Deborah, the mother has been unconscious while the father has been in a state of grief and pain.
