Trey Songz lawyer reacts to 'Sexual Assault' lawsuit

American musician, Trey Songz is curently facing a lawsuit filed by two women who allege that they were sexually assaulted at his house party in 2015.

The women claim they passed out during the event and later woke up to find Trey Songz engaging in nonconsensual sexual activity with them.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, the women are accusing Trey of sexual assault and battery related to an incident that allegedly occurred at his residence in the Los Angeles area.

They assert that they first encountered Trey in June 2015 when they attended his concert and received an invitation to an after-party he was hosting.

Subsequent interactions apparently led to an invitation to Trey’s home in August for his birthday celebration.

The women state that they took an Uber ride to Trey’s residence, where they had to provide a password and surrender their phones for entry. Once inside, they claimed that the gathering consisted mostly of women with only a few men, and they felt pressured to consume alcohol from unsealed bottles.

In the lawsuit, the women allege that they suddenly felt severely intoxicated, despite having consumed what they believed to be a modest amount of alcohol. They suspect they may have been drugged.

According to their account, they were seated on a couch near the pool when Trey Songz allegedly intervened and led them to an upstairs bedroom where they lost consciousness while fully clothed.

Upon regaining consciousness the following morning, the women say they discovered themselves undressed, with Trey Songz engaging in nonconsensual sexual acts.

One of the women claims that Trey performed nonconsensual oral sex on her, and despite her attempts to resist, he overpowered her.

The women further claim that Trey insisted they take a shower with him after the alleged sexual assaults, but they refused, resulting in an angry outburst from the musician.

They assert that they retrieved their clothing and attempted to leave, but Trey Songz refused to return their phones.

Eventually, a security guard reportedly intervened, handed over their phones from a safe, and they called an Uber to depart the premises.

In their lawsuit, the women assert that they have suffered lasting injuries as a result of the alleged incident and are pursuing legal action against Trey Songz for damages.

Trey Songz’s attorney, Michael Freedman, has responded, stating that these allegations are based on nearly decade-old claims being revisited in the context of California’s newly extended legal window for such cases.

“This is yet another example of nearly decade-old allegations being repurposed to take advantage of California’s constitutionally questionable new look back window.

“We look forward to vindicating Trey on the merits in court.”
