"The problem with Jesus" -- Thierry Henry

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has pinpointed the only drawback he sees in the club’s striker, Gabriel Jesus, who joined the Gunners from Premier League champions Manchester City in 2022.

Despite making a strong initial impact at Arsenal, Jesus faced a significant setback in the form of a serious injury that hindered his momentum. The Brazilian striker found himself sidelined for an extended period following the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, during which he sustained a knee injury.

While acknowledging Jesus’s impressive abilities, Henry expressed his concern over the striker’s recurrent absences due to injuries.

Henry praised a recent goal by Jesus against Sevilla, describing it as a “great strike.”

However, he lamented the unfortunate pattern of frequent injuries that has affected both the player and the team.

“When you see that goal (Jesus’s against Sevilla), that is a great strike. The only problem with Gabriel Jesus is that he often gets injured. Unfortunately for him and us,” Henry remarked during his commentary on CBS Sports.
