Leave Lionel Messi Alone – Gabriel Heinze

Sergio Aguero, a retired footballer and close friend of Lionel Messi, may have accidentally revealed the next club that Messi will play for.

In a recent interview, Aguero disclosed a private conversation he had with Messi, where he shared that the 35-year-old is seriously considering the possibility of playing for his boyhood club, Newell’s Old Boys, in an emotional switch.

Messi is said to be stalling on a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain, and rumors have been circulating about his potential return to Barcelona. However, Aguero claims that Messi is thinking about returning to Newell’s Old Boys, a club where he started his football career and scored 234 goals in 176 games between 1994 and 1999.

Former Argentina and Liverpool star Maxi Rodriguez, who had to step in before Aguero revealed too much, commented on the situation, saying, “Kun is Kun. He can’t keep quiet. We will see. It is hard to talk about this because then a giant ball of rumors is made. Let’s wait and see what happens. We will not get ahead of the facts.”

Newell’s Old Boys hope to use a testimonial match for Rodriguez, scheduled to take place on June 16th, as a way to entice Messi to play for their first team. Messi is expected to play in the fixture, and Newell’s Old Boys hope that it will serve as a trial for the footballer, ultimately leading to him signing a contract with their club. Messi’s contract with PSG is due to expire in June.

The interview has sparked further speculation about Messi’s future in football, as he continues to be one of the most sought-after players in the world. Despite a disappointing start to his first season with PSG, Messi has 16 goals and 17 assists in all competitions this season.

The revelation about his potential move to Newell’s Old Boys has also reignited rumors about a return to Barcelona, where he spent most of his career and established himself as one of the greatest footballers of all time.
