Manchester City vs. Arsenal doesn't matter -- Aguero

Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero has offered his prediction ahead of the highly-anticipated clash between his former club and Arsenal in the Premier League this weekend.

Aguero, who enjoyed a stellar career at Manchester City under manager Pep Guardiola, believes that his former team will emerge victorious when they face off against Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

Despite his confidence in City’s ability to secure a win, Aguero has emphasized that the outcome of this particular match will not ultimately determine the Premier League title race.

“I’m confident in City’s victory but it won’t be a decisive match. Other games will also tilt the scales.”

Currently, Arsenal finds themselves at the summit of the Premier League table with 64 points from 28 matches, level on points with second-placed Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Aguero’s former club, Manchester City, sits closely behind in third place, just a point adrift of the top two of Arsenal and Liverpool.

In an interview with Stake, Aguero expressed his anticipation for what he views as one of the standout fixtures of the season. He acknowledged the competitive nature of this year’s title race, highlighting the presence of three strong contenders vying for the trophy.

“I’m ranking it as one of the top encounters of the season, no doubt. That being said, this year we have not two but three contenders for the title and they all have challenging fixtures.”
