Premier League Predictions For Mid-Week

Premier League predictions return for match week 15 as the English league takes the mid-week schedule spot from the UEFA club tournaments.

With some exciting clashes taking the mid-week nights of Tuesday, Wednesday and carrying over to Thursday, fans won’t have to spend the mid-week nights missing Champions League or Europa League action that may involve their respective teams.

On Tuesday, 5th of December, Wolverhampton Wanderers 19:30 Burnley kickoff hostilities, with Wolves coming from a 2-1 defeat to Arsenal last weekend in contrast to a Burnley side that has a 5-0 win as a confidence booster.

An exciting fixture it will be for both sides, and if VAR controversy does not plague Wolves for another week again, TopNaija predicts this tie to go in favor of Gary O’Neil’s team. In our premier league predictions, we predict Wolves coming out with a 2-1 win on the night.

A follow-up to the 7:30 kickoff, is  Luton Town 20:15 Arsenal, and judging by what the Gunners are fighting for this season, we wouldn’t expect any other result from Arsenal aside a win. However, it is quite easy to ascribe a win to Arsenal, but it is not as simple as ticking the box as it is writing off Luton Town. Luton are formidable on home ground, and if Mikel Arteta’s side do not take their chances, this tie could be headed for a shocker like the Liverpool result some weeks back proved.

But in our premier league predictions, we will take the easy route to predict a 0-2 win for Arsenal.

Premier League Predictions For Mid-Week

Wednesday 6th December takes up the most run of games, with concurrent 7:30 pm kickoffs running parallel to each other, starting with Brighton and Hove Albion 19:30 Brentford in a game that promises peak attacking flair.

The Seagulls will look to bounce back from a 3-2 defeat last weekend to Chelsea, while Brentford will look to improve on their 3-1 victory over Luton Town.

In our premier league predictions for mid-week, we would predict this tie going for a draw, perhaps a score draw of 2-2.

Crystal Palace 19:30 Bournemouth will have Palace at Selhurst Park, with the home advantage, and if their away form has proven anything this season, it’s that Bournemouth may have an aggrieved Crystal Palace breathing crystal ice on them in mid-week.

We predict a 4-2 win for Palace.

Fulham 19:30 Nottingham Forest, gives the Cottagers an opportunity to bounce back from the narrow loss to Liverpool on Sunday, after both teams had given premier league fans a 7-goal thriller.

Both sides have had mixed results this season despite putting up good performances, but Marco Silva’s Fulham seem to be heading into this tie as favorites. We predict a 2-1 win at the Craven’s Cottage for Fulham.

Premier League Predictions For Mid-Week

Sheffield United 19:30 Liverpool, no one knows what to really expect from Liverpool this season. They have proven themselves as quite the formidable side, but they do that by making things harder for themselves in games they should be winning without breaking a sweat.

They will be heading into the game against arguably the worst team in the league at the moment, and it is one of these games where Liverpool could come out bearing gifts of 3-points for Sheffield.

However, we will give the Reds the benefits of being a traditional big side by predicting a 1-3 win at Bramall Lane. It will however not be a surprise if Liverpool fall to a 1-1 or 2-2 draw.

Aston Villa 20:15 Manchester City, has Spain’s high profile tactical geniuses Unai Emery and Peo Guardiola going at each other. It is perhaps the biggest match on Wednesday considering the form table.

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City have suffered 2 consecutive draws so far, against Liverpool and against Tottenham Hotspur, Villa narrowly avoided a draw last weekend away to Bournemouth. Both teams are chasing big tides and it will be interesting to see what comes of it.

In our premier league predictions, we have this tie going for a Aston Villa win. It is a stretch but if there’s anything this season has proven, it is that Unai Emery has gone underrated in the top 4 chase. We predict a 3-2 win for Villa at Villa Park.

Manchester United 20:15 Chelsea, traditionally a big game, but on form table currently, it is another mid-table clash between two former premier league Giants who used to steal the show.

The tie is at Old Trafford, and if there’s one thing both sides have in contrast, it’s that one has a penchant for turning up against big oppositions while the other chickens out against big oppositions but does well to get results from smaller teams.

We predict a 2-2 draw for both teams.

Thursday 7th December ends match week 15, with
Everton 19:30 Newcastle United engaging in hostilities.

We predict a 0-2 win for Newcastle United.

Tottenham Hotspur 20:15 West Ham United, ends the night with a London derby.

After the 3-3 draw versus Manchester City, Spurs will want to get into top 4 contention by getting positive results as soon as possible.

With West Ham United one of those opportunities, we predict Tottenham to go out with a 3-1 win against the Hammers.
