Everton vs. Liverpool: Confirmed Lineup

The Merseyside derby sets itself upon Merseyside neighbors Liverpool and Everton who sit just miles from each other.

However, unlike the first leg that saw the Toffees travel from their yard to pay Anfield a visit, the Reds are the side doing the travelling to Goodison Park to face their bitter hosts.

Aside the nature of the tie being one of glory and bragging rights, Liverpool and Everton face a tougher test as they battle each other for the right to claim all 3-points from the Merseyside derby.

The Reds are head steeped in a premier league title race which at this moment in time could come crashing if they allow themselves to slip up again in the race.

Currently, Arsenal sits above them on 77-points, 3-points ahead in top spot, while Manchester City sit closer behind but with a game in hand as they too face Brighton tonight.

For Everton, depriving their infamous neighbors of the chase for a premier league title again will be as far as bragging rights go in a derby Liverpool has held dominance over in years. But the Toffees have a greater purpose to fight against than bragging rights in a Merseyside derby; which is to avoid the relegation battle that continually draw them in every season.

That said, whatever result that is to emerge from this fixture will be dependent on the performance the lineups put on display.
