"Mohbad died because he turned his back on them" -- Portable

Controversial singer, Portable leaves another controversy on the table regarding deceased artist, Mohbad as he chips into the narrative surrounding his death.

According to Portable, Mohbad presumably got his what he deserved for betraying those who gave him an opportunity into stardom. The singer goes on to slam Mohbad’s death, claiming his death came at the hands of the enemies of Marlian Music all because of Mohbad’s betrayal.

Mohbad, who had been a part of the Marlian Music stable, was accused of turning his back on the label that had nurtured and supported his career. The controversy surrounding his departure revolved around his claim that Marlian Music failed to show him the love and support he deserved.

Portable, best known for his hit song “Zazuu,” went further to assert that Mohbad’s association with rivals of Marlian Records ultimately resulted in his tragic demise.

Portable alleged that the individuals responsible for Mohbad’s death had sinister intentions, including implicating Naira Marley, the head of Marlian Records.

Taking to Instagram to voice his claims, Portable stated,

“Mohbad was killed because he was a betrayer. We help these young artists and make them blow but they repay us with evil.

“After everything Marlian Music did for Mohbad, he later said they didn’t love him. He left the label and went to associate with the enemies of Naira Marley.”

He continued,

“Those ones then killed him to implicate Naira. God will save Naira from this mess because he only helped Mohbad out of a good heart but he betrayed him.”
