Mikel Arteta set to receive another summer gift post Rice

In their quest to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season, Arsenal is reportedly preparing to make a move for Brazilian midfielder Bitello.

According to Radio Guaiba’s Rafael Pfeiffer, the Gunners have dispatched a representative to Brazil to initiate negotiations and submit an opening offer to Gremio, the club currently housing Bitello’s talents.

The North London club’s scouts have been closely monitoring Bitello’s performances and are expected to observe him once again during Gremio’s upcoming match against Bahia on Wednesday. Impressed by the midfielder’s skills and potential, Arsenal is keen to secure his services for the upcoming season.

Bitello’s current ownership situation is somewhat complex, with Gremio holding 70 percent of the player’s rights. In order to secure his transfer, the Brazilian club is demanding a transfer fee of €10 million.

The remaining 30 percent of Bitello’s rights are owned by his former club, FC Cascavel, which competes in the fourth tier of Brazilian football.

Meanwhile, Arsenal is also on the verge of completing a significant transfer, as they have reportedly agreed on a £105 million deal with West Ham United for the signature of Declan Rice.

The Gunners’ manager, Mikel Arteta, has identified Rice as a top summer transfer target, aiming to bolster his midfield options following the departure of Granit Xhaka, who recently completed a £21.5 million move to Bayer Leverkusen.

With the potential acquisition of both Bitello and Rice, Arsenal aims to reinforce its midfield and provide Mikel Arteta with additional quality and depth in that area of the pitch. The club is determined to build a competitive squad capable of challenging for honors in the upcoming season.

As negotiations progress and the transfer window unfolds, Arsenal fans eagerly await further updates regarding the potential signing of Bitello, hoping to witness the Brazilian midfielder donning the famous red and white jersey in the near future.
