"I don't think Guardiola will manage Spain" -- Fernandinho

Former Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho has weighed in on the potential next moves for his ex-manager, Pep Guardiola, suggesting that the esteemed coach could find himself at the helm of the Brazil national team, England, or the Netherlands.

Fernandinho, who flourished under Guardiola’s guidance, highlighted the successful partnership they shared at Manchester City, clinching four Premier League titles, four EFL Cups, and one FA Cup together.

In a recent appearance on the Denilson Show, the Brazilian midfielder contemplated Guardiola’s future, particularly regarding national teams.

“It’s hard to say Brazil starts in the lead. Very difficult to know. There’s a chance [he could coach Brazil], but I think there are other teams on par to possibly have Guardiola as a coach in the future,” Fernandinho commented.

When pressed on potential destinations, Fernandinho ruled out Spain, citing the Catalonia/Spain issue.

Instead, he suggested England or the Netherlands as viable options.

“No, I don’t think Spain. The Catalonia/Spain issue, you know how it is… I would believe in England, where he is, knows the players and everything, and maybe Netherlands… His father in football, who is he? (Johan Cruyff),” he added.
