Gabriel Martinelli Needs To Be Dropped From Arsenal XI – Charles Watts

Charles Watts, a journalist for GOAL, has suggested that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta should drop Gabriel Martinelli after his poor performance in Arsenal’s 3-1 defeat to Manchester City. Watts believes that the Brazilian forward is struggling and needs rest.

In a video on his YouTube channel, Watts gave Martinelli a rating of 4/10 and suggested that he be removed from the starting lineup for Arsenal’s upcoming Premier League match against Aston Villa. He recommended starting Leandro Trossard instead.

“I think Trossard has to start this weekend to give Gabriel Martinelli a bit of a rest because he clearly needs it,” Watts said.

Martinelli has been struggling to find his form this season, with just one goal in 18 Premier League appearances. The 19-year-old has been in and out of the Arsenal lineup this season, and his recent performance against Manchester City did not impress.

Arsenal’s loss to Manchester City has put their hopes of winning the Premier League title in doubt, with the Gunners now in second place behind City. Arteta will need to make some changes to his team if they are to have any chance of catching up with City in the remaining games of the season.

It remains to be seen whether Arteta will take Watts’ advice and rest Martinelli for the upcoming match. However, with Arsenal’s season on the line, the manager will need to make some tough decisions to get his team back on track.
