Erik ten Hag will do all to Prevent Martial leaving

Erik ten Hag moves to stall Anthony Martial exit.

It has probably become a sort of dilemma for Manchester United regarding its striker situation after star forward, Cristiano Ronaldo shocked the club by dropping a transfer request.

The move has impacted another player, Anthony Martial who ever since last season has indicated interests in leaving Old Trafford,

And now it is reported by the UK Mirror publication that the Frenchman would not be getting his wishes as Erik ten Hag isn’t sure of Ronaldo’s move.

In essence, the Dutchman is doing all he can to avoid a striker crisis at the club going into the new season, and also by the unavailability of quality strikers in the market this summer.

The Manchester club has already lost out in the race for Darwin Nunez to Liverpool and will fight all to avoid loosing 2 strikers at once this summer again.

Anthony Martial did well to impress Ten Hag in the preseason tour, putting such a performance that overlooks his poor form last season.

The Frenchman in that respect has been told he would be staying put at United next season.

After the loan spell to Sevilla in the half season of last season, Manchester United were open to selling the France international on a permanent deal or another loan spell again before the September 1 deadline.

But Ten Hag has blocked that decision, having seen him play over the past few weeks.

And it is very much understandable judging from 5 time golden ball winner, Ronaldo’s uncertain future at the club.

The Dutchman will be confident he can get Martial back to his best and scoring regularly, but has warned the forward to show complete focus in order to realize his potential.

On a side note, there are reports and rumors that Cristiano Ronaldo has found a club but his representatives are holding out its announcement until a later date.
