Cristiano Ronaldo to reunite with Manchester United teammate

It is either Al-Nassr President is playing damage control politics over Cristiano Ronaldo rejecting a move to Saudi Arabia or the media is just about publishing headlines with the 5-time Ballon D’or winner’s name to sell stories.

In a recent interview, the Al-Nassr president confirmed the club has no links with the Portugal captain despite popular reports about the Saudi Arabian club chasing after the player’s signature in the January transfer window.

Al-Nassr asserts that no discussions about acquiring Cristiano Ronaldo have taken place.

The 37-year-old is currently without a team after Manchester United canceled his contract last month as a result of an interview with Piers Morgan.

Ronaldo is currently a free agent and a move to Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia has been suggested.

However, when asked if they were interested in signing the Portugal captain, Al-Nassr President Musalli Al-Muammar responded in jest:

“Who is Ronaldo? I don’t know him.”

In a subsequent interview with SSC Sports, he added: “Ronaldo is busy with the World Cup.

“I don’t think that he is in negotiations with anyone.”

In order to stay in shape before joining a new squad, Ronaldo is presently working out at the Real Madrid facilities in Spain.

As the Portuguese international remains club-less at the moment, any action he makes will be largely monitored and reported or perhaps mistaken for something else moving forward.

More stories await on Cristiano Ronaldo.
