Cristiano Ronaldo With A Forgettable Game Gets Fans Talking

Am a better man for it -- Ronaldo on leaving Man United

Cristiano Ronaldo failed to make an impact for Al Nassr in their King Cup of Champions win against Abha. The Portuguese star did not score or provide an assist, with Sami Al Najei, Abdullah Al Khaibari, and Mohammed Moran finding the net for Rudi Garcia’s side.

Ronaldo’s mood did not improve after he was booked for booting the ball away at the end of the first half. He was seen visibly frustrated as he walked off the pitch at half-time.

This comes after Ronaldo’s outburst during Al Nassr’s recent defeat to Al Ittihad, where he threw his captain’s armband to the floor and kicked water bottles over.

Although he had seemed happier in his new surroundings after leaving Manchester United, Ronaldo’s latest performance saw him substituted by his manager for the first time since joining the Saudi Arabian side.

He was replaced by Anderson Talisca in the 87th minute and was seen looking glum on the bench during the final minutes of the match.

Ronaldo’s tally of eight goals for Al Nassr was not added to during the game against Abha, and fans took to social media to criticize his performance.

One fan joked that Ronaldo was still “flexing the bench” even in the Saudi league. Al Nassr will have a chance to redeem themselves when they face Abha again in the league on Saturday.

Cristiano Ronaldo despite being off Europe, still has fans and rival fans alike peeping eyes over at the Saudi Arabian league to monitor the Portugal international’s activities in the middle east.
