Many songs have been sang of Chelsea this season, and so many narratives made about their season in the top flight in the current campaign, and now they face yet another battle away to London rivals, Brentford.

The Blues in the last two seasons, have only amassed 1-point against the Bees, with Brentford currently sitting undefeated versus Chelsea.

As much as it is seen as a big battle for Chelsea owing to the West London side’s current form, it is even bigger for Brentford who sit just 5-points from the relegation zone. This means, as much as they may want to delude themselves of having what it takes to beat the Blues, they cannot risk dropping points again.

They narrowly lost to Manchester City some weeks back, a defeat that seemed quite harsh for the Bees who had two considerable chances on goal to take the lead at the Etihad and possibly even win the tie if Erling Haaland’s counter attacking goal hadn’t happened. They had the right tactics but errors killed their spirits against Pep Guardiola, which makes the clash against Chelsea a very important one Brentford cannot take their pedals off in.
