Premier League predictions for the Weekend

The Premier League returns with another batch of weekend fixtures for match week 27, bringing about hostilities and predictions for how the league standings could take a different twist this week.

Ahead of the games, Liverpool currently stand as league leaders with this weekend bringing upon them another challenge aside injuries as Nottingham Forest are set to host the Reds as the City Ground. That being said, it is their Carabao Cup opponents who will take the first bow of the weekend as they travel away to the Bees.

Brentford vs. Chelsea will begin the March 2nd fixtures for a 3 p.m. kick off time.

This stands yet another test for the Blues whose hopes still hinge on securing a place in Europe next season. It is a tricky tie for both sides who have different goals at this point of the season. For what both teams could bring to the table, a 2-2 draw will be the easy prediction, but in our own predictions for this premier league tie, we will give Chelsea the edge for a 1-3 triumph.

Everton vs. West Ham United will again test the Toffees who currently have favor swinging their way after a 10-point deduction was reduced some days back to push them out of the relegation zones.

However, West Ham United are a different beast, and Goodison Park must be on it if Sean Dyche and his side are to get anything out of the game. We predict a 2-1 win for Everton.

Fulham vs. Brighton and Hove Albion is one of those promising premier league games that will offer some attacking play yet go unnoticed. For what it is worth, the Cottagers will have the home advantage, but Brighton will be eager to return to winning ways after crashing out of the FA Cup in mid-week.

We predict a 2-4 win for the Seagulls which stands a humiliating loss for a Fulham side that defeated Manchester United last weeked.

Newcastle United 15:00 Wolverhampton Wanderers sees the Magpies take on the Wolves a week after a crumbling defeat to Arsenal. We predict a 2-2 stalemate for both sides.

Nottingham Forest 15:00 Liverpool is perhaps a game that could have a ripple effect on the premier league table this weekend, depending on which Liverpool side turns up.

The Reds are currently battling some serious injury crisis and have had to get over the line with its youth set up in recent games. Can they do it again this weekend or will they fast track the inclusion of experience with the arrival of Salah, Nunez and perhaps Szoboszlai to the lineup? It is a tougher premier league fixture to predict, but in our predictions we may swing things in favor of Jurgen Klopp’s team to hand Liverpool a 1-2 win.

Tottenham Hotspur 15:00 Crystal Palace is a London derby that stands very important for Ange Postecoglou who on the sideline is still eyeing a top 4 finish this season with Tottenham. Can the Australian achieve that? That is a hard question to answer at this stage.

However, for our premier league predictions on this fixture, a Spurs win at home is visible. a 2-0 win is plausible for Tottenham against Crystal Palace.

Luton Town 17:30 Aston Villa is also an interesting tie and Luton despite not getting the results they so much deserve in recent games, will fancy to it at home against Unai Emery’s Aston Villa. We predict a 2-1 win in favor of Luton Town.

Sunday 3rd March brings week 27 a Super Sunday of delight, bringing us the Manchester derby. But before that, Burnley 13:00 Bournemouth will have some scores to settle at Turf Moor.

We fancy an interesting clash between both sides, but a win for the Cherries regardless. A 1-3 win could stand on the cards for Bournemouth if their attack yields fruit on the day.

Manchester City 15:30 Manchester United ends Sunday and will perhaps be the game that will be the most talked about of the weekend. Manchester United go in as the underdog team against their City rivals. But that is a story for the papers.

We predict a shock 1-2 win for the Red Devils.

Monday 4th March will bring week 27 to a close with Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United taking on Arsenal at a late kickoff time of 8 p.m.

The Gunners will be expected to do their thing again, hence our premier league predictions for the clash sees Arsenal as 0-2 victors at Bramall Lane.
