Antonio Conte has said enough to be fired without compensation

Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has suggested that Tottenham Hotspur could terminate the contract of manager Antonio Conte without compensation. The remarks came after the Italian’s outburst following their 3-3 draw with Southampton over the weekend.

According to multiple reports, the North London club has already decided to part ways with Antonio Conte, who has only been in charge since November 2021. The decision was apparently made after the Italian’s heated exchange with his players and the club hierarchy following their disappointing draw.

Jordan, speaking on TalkSport, was shocked by Conte’s behavior and suggested that he may have done enough to be fired without any financial compensation. He also questioned Conte’s motives, suggesting that the manager may be deliberately trying to engineer his own departure in order to receive a payout.

“I think we’re at a stage now where anything he can do to get out of the door, he wants to get paid for doing that,” Jordan said. “If that’s the conversation going on and it was me, he’s done enough to be fired, and fired without compensation.”

Jordan also highlighted the impact of Conte’s outburst on the club, stating that it had damaged his relationship with the club and placed him in disrepute. “There is no doubt that the outburst on Saturday puts him in disrepute with the club. No doubt.”

The former Palace owner’s comments reflect the growing discontent among Spurs fans over the team’s recent performances, which have seen them drop to seventh in the Premier League table.

Conte’s departure would mark the latest in a series of managerial changes at the club in recent years, with the likes of Jose Mourinho and Mauricio Pochettino having been let go in recent seasons.
