AC Milan Fans Turn On Liverpool Legend, Divock Origi

Former Liverpool player Divock Origi could be facing an uncertain future as Serie A champions AC Milan are reportedly considering selling the Belgian forward after a disappointing start to his career at the San Siro.

Origi, who was signed on a free transfer by the Italian giants last summer after his contract with Liverpool expired, has struggled to make an impact at Milan, with just two goals in 21 appearances this season.

Milan won the Scudetto last season with veterans Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic leading the attack, but the club is looking to bolster their forward options with a longer-term replacement for the aging Giroud, who turns 37 later this year. According to recent reports from Italy, Milan is willing to sell Origi to raise funds for a new striker.

Origi was a fan favorite at Liverpool, known for his ability to come off the bench and change a game.

He was involved in 59 goals in 175 appearances for the Reds and played a vital role in Liverpool’s historic Champions League win in the 2018/19 season, scoring the winning goal against Barcelona in the semi-finals. However, his time at Milan has been described as a “disaster” by Italian journalist Alvise Cagnazzo, who labeled Origi as “the worst signing of the season” in Serie A in a report for the Daily Mail.

Origi had left Liverpool hoping to secure a starting spot at a top club, but his struggles at Milan have been evident. Milan has yet to decide on Origi’s future, but the club’s reported willingness to sell him suggests that the Belgian’s time at the San Siro may be coming to an end.
