Liverpool Legend Left Embarrassed In Studio Following 2-5 Grubbing

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has become an internet sensation after a video of his hilarious reactions during Liverpool’s defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday went viral. Carragher went through a range of emotions during the game, including elation, excitement, frustration, and deflation.

The video shows the former England international reacting to each goal scored by both teams.

Liverpool had started the game well, with Darwin Nunez’s lovely flick putting the hosts ahead after four minutes. Mohamed Salah doubled their lead after Thibaut Courtois made a dreadful error. However, Vinicius Junior grabbed two goals before half-time to level things up, and Real Madrid scored three more goals in the second half to take a 5-2 lead back to the Bernabeu.

In the CBS studio, Carragher’s reaction to the game was anything but calm. The video shows him screaming with elation while having a mouthful of food and getting even more excited for the second goal.

Real’s first goal was met with a “f**k sake,” and anger that the ball was allowed into the box. Carragher was even more fuming with the equaliser, first stunned into silence before shouting at Alisson to play the simple pass. By the end, the former defender looked absolutely deflated.

Despite Liverpool’s defeat, Carragher did provide excellent analysis on the failings of his former side in defence, while colleague Thierry Henry claimed that the club’s successful era was “over.”

However, it was Carragher’s reactions that captured the attention of the internet, with the video going viral and garnering thousands of views and shares.
