Tinubu says he doesn’t need physical strength to be Nigeria’s President

Presidential aspirant Bola Tinubu has replied to criticism of him being too old and not health fit to be president.

While visiting the palace of the Ataoja of Osogbo, Jimoh Olanipekun, to inform him of his political ambition on Friday, Tinubu was quoted saying presidential office, not a bricklayer or a grave-digging job, said he needs more psychological strength than physically, to be president in 2023.
According to Tinubu, “I am not applying for the job of bricklaying or grave digging. I went to school to study accountancy and management.
“I am applying for a thinking job and I will do it right. The job I want to do is for Nigeria to be greater and to be proud of itself.”
In his remarks, the Ataoja of Osogbo said Tinubu could be Nigeria’s president and prayed that God would grant his heart’s desire.
The candidacy of Chief Bola Tinubu for the presidency in 2023 was bound to attract not just interest but also controversy.
So far it has lived up to expectation. Of all the presidential aspirants, barring former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Tinubu’s candidacy was destined to elicit the most passionate reactions for the very reason that his has been what he has rightly called a ‘lifelong’ ambition.
