Chelsea striker offered £26 million-per-season to leave London

The Premier League has reportedly approached Chelsea Football Club, requesting concrete evidence to confirm that they are not under the ownership of Saudi Arabia. This request follows the recent exodus of several Chelsea stars who are rumored to be on the brink of joining Saudi Arabian clubs.

One such departure is that of N’Golo Kante, who has signed with Al-Ittihad on a free transfer after his Chelsea contract expired. Additionally, it is believed that Kalidou Koulibaly, Hakim Ziyech, and Edouard Mendy are also set to make their way to the Middle East, with Koulibaly joining Al-Hilal, Ziyech heading to Al-Nassr, and Mendy en route to Al-Ahli.

The notable exodus of players from Chelsea to the Middle East has raised eyebrows and caused concern within the Premier League.

According to reliable sources, league officials have taken a proactive stance in addressing the situation, demanding that Chelsea provide conclusive evidence demonstrating that the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF) did not play a part in Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital’s takeover of the club last summer.

In response to the Premier League’s request, Chelsea swiftly provided the necessary documentation to league authorities, aiming to allay any concerns regarding potential conflicts of interest. It is understood that the Premier League has examined the evidence and is currently satisfied that there are no undisclosed ties between Chelsea and the Saudi Arabian PIF.

The league’s scrutiny and the subsequent resolution of the matter underline the diligence and transparency with which the Premier League conducts its operations. The intervention of league officials serves as a reminder of the importance of upholding the league’s rules and regulations, ensuring fair competition among member clubs.

As the situation surrounding Chelsea‘s ownership has been clarified and any doubts seemingly dispelled, both the club and its supporters can now focus on the upcoming season with a renewed sense of stability.

Meanwhile, the imminent departures of Kante, Koulibaly, Ziyech, and Mendy will undoubtedly mark the end of an era at Stamford Bridge, leaving Chelsea to rebuild and strengthen their squad for the challenges that lie ahead.

The Premier League’s insistence on transparency and adherence to ownership regulations stands as a testament to their commitment to maintaining the integrity and competitiveness of one of the world’s most renowned football leagues.
