The Players who are still loyal to Manchester United

It is no secret that last season was a horror show for Manchester United, both on the pitch and off it as the once Premier League giants found themselves nothing but a banter club.

A banter club to which the likes of Watford strolled up against the Old Trafford side and stole 3 valuable points off them while lashing in 4 goals past them before returning to the Championship.

The end to a season like that would leave many wondering which player would stay loyal to the team and to the club and show up for the very first day of pre-season.

Well, it turns out that quite a few actually are serious about the club, and really believe in the project give or take what the media and the pundits may think.

And they were quite the first ones to show up when the club called up on them as new club manager, Erik ten Hag kick starts his era.

The players who returned from their holiday in time to take part in the first day of pre-season training were the likes of Rafael Varane, Harry Maguire, Scott McTominay, Bruno Fernandes who all strolled in at the Carrington training center the morning of July 3rd.

Quite noticeable was the fact the players came in with the positivity as they look to have the previous season behind them and ensure it remained nothing but a terrible nightmare.

Notable absent was 5 time golden ball winner, Cristiano Ronaldo who wrote a formal request to Manchester United asking for a stay of absence due to family reasons.

Some attribute it to be a ploy to force the club into selling him off in the summer as just recently, it was reported the Portuguese had dropped in a transfer request.
