Peter Obi, the 2023 Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, has called on Muslim faithful to utilize the opportunity presented by Sallah to seek divine intervention in addressing Nigeria’s security challenges.

In a statement released by his spokesperson, Dr. Yunusa Tanko, Obi emphasized the importance of maintaining a spirit of love and peaceful co-existence despite the prevailing challenges in the country.

Obi urged people to use the Eid-el-Fitr festivities to promote unity, patriotism, and national development.

He emphasized the significance of both Christianity and Islam emerging from their fasting periods, urging individuals to let the solemnness of the holy months guide their interactions and thoughts about the country’s future.

Highlighting the critical need for divine intervention in Nigeria’s current situation, Obi underscored the severe economic challenges facing the nation, including currency devaluation, rising unemployment, and inflation.

Despite these challenges, Obi encouraged Nigerians not to lose hope and to remain steadfast in their faith.

He expressed optimism that a new Nigeria is possible and emphasized the importance of maintaining faith and perseverance during difficult times.

As the nation celebrates Eid-el-Fitr, Obi’s message serves as a reminder of the power of prayer and unity in overcoming adversity and working towards a better future for all Nigerians.
