Panic over armed robbery attack in Oyo State
A robbery incident has caused panic among residents of the Olomo community in Apete, Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
The incident, which occurred around 1 am on Saturday, involved armed robbers who invaded the Eleshin area of the community and robbed Mr Dotun Adefisoye.
The robbers made away with two phones, an iPhone 11 Pro Max and XS Max, and also transferred an undisclosed amount of money from Adefisoye’s wife’s bank account.
The matter has been reported at the Apete Divisional Police Command, but efforts to get a comment from the state police command’s Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, have been unsuccessful since Saturday.
“Dotun Adefisoye was robbed last night around Eleshin Olomo Apete Ibadan.”
“The robbers, about two, came around 1:00 am and carted away two phones, iPhone 11 Pro Max and XS Max. The matter has been reported at Apete Police Station.”
“They transferred undisclosed amount of money from the wife’s account,” a source told DAILY POST.
The residents are reportedly in a state of confusion and fear due to the robbery incident.
Apete is one of the communities in the Ido Local Government Area in Oyo State.
